Deputies respond to home invasion

On 1-8-18 around 6am, Hood County
Sheriff’s Office responded to an assault call
at the 5400 block of Lake View Dr.
The 25 year old female told Deputies she
heard a knock at her door and went to
answer it.
A male suspect approx. 6 feet tall, wearing a
white T-Shirt and cargo style brown pants,
sporting a brown pillow case on his head,
and had tribal tattoo on his right bicep,
pushed his way into the home brandishing a
knife.

The female victim was able to fight back
and struck the suspect in the head with a
flower vase.
The family dog assisted by biting the
suspect in the left thigh and chased him out
of the home.
The victim, who is 35 weeks pregnant,
ended up with several superficial cuts on
her arms and stomach, but was not
seriously injured.

We are thankful the victim is ok and was
able to successfully fight off her attacker.
The case is under investigation by the Hood
County Sheriff’s Office and anyone with
information on the attack can call Hood
County Crimestoppers at 817-573-TIPS.
