Disturbance Call Results In Multiple Felony Arrest

Intoxicated man charged with several felonies

On Friday, October 20th around 7am, Hood County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to the
700 block of Venus Ct. in reference to an intoxicated male causing a disturbance.
Deputies discovered 36 year old Travis Matthew Austin was acting strange and had kicked
the front door in of a relative’s home at the 700 block of Venus Ct.
Austin was allegedly hallucinating and told Deputies he thought his relative’s home
was being robbed.
Austin was arrested for Public Intoxication and transported to the Hood County
Sheriff’s Office Jail. During the booking process, Austin was found to be in possession of under a gram
of meth and a set of brass knuckles. Austin was charged with Possession of a Prohibited Substance in a Correctional
Facility (felony 3-bond $10,000), Possession of a Prohibited Item in a Correctional Facility (felony 3-bond $10,000), Possession of a Controlled Substance (state jail felony- bond $5,000), and Public Intoxication (class C misd-fine $370).

Austin is currently in jail at press time.
