H.C.S.O.: Underage alcohol party raided by Deputies

On Monday, July 24th around 3am, Hood County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 3600 block of Lake Granbury Dr. in reference to an underage alcohol party. Deputies discovered two 14 year olds, four 16 year olds, one 17 year old, one 18 year old, and a 19 year old participating in an illegal alcohol party.

6 of the 9 were cited for Minor in Possession of Alcohol. One minor was cited for Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor, and another minor was cited for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, all Class C misdemeanors.

19 year old Abiel Edgardo Sanchez was found to be in possession of 1.5 grams of Cocaine, under 2oz of marijuana, and several xanax pills.

Sanchez was arrested and charged with
Possession of a Controlled Substance-
a felony 3 charge carrying a bond of $15,000, Possession of a Controlled Substance- a class A misdemeanor charge carrying a bond of $2,500, and Possession of Marijuana- a class B misdemeanor carrying a of bond $1,000.

Sanchez is currently in jail at press time.
