Traffic stop yields tampering charge
On Wednesday, August 9th, around 10:30pm Hood County Sheriff’s Office Deputies conducted a traffic stop at the 2900 block of Ridgecrest Drive.
During the stop, 23 year old Ashley Marie Morton was found to be in possession of Xanax and Tramadol pills, which Morton tried to conceal and hand off to a friend.
Morton was arrested and charged with
Tampering with Evidence – felony 3-bond
$10,000, Possession of a Controlled
Substance – class A misdemeanor-bond $2,500, and Possession of a Controlled Substance – class A misdemeanor-bond $500.
Morton is currently in jail at press time.
