2 Vehicle Accident Near Reed Rd. Results In Injuries

Granbury-According to preliminary reports, on Thursday July 11, 2019, at approximately 4:55 pm, the Texas Highway Patrol was notified of a two-vehicle crash on FM 51 north of Granbury near Reed Road. Upon arrival the Troopers found that a 2002 Dodge Ram truck, driven by Michael C. Brown, 24 of Granbury, was traveling north on FM 51 and attempted to swerve to the left to keep from striking an unknown vehicle that was traveling north on the improved shoulder of FM 51. The Dodge truck then traveled into the southbound lane and struck a 2003 Honda Odyssey driven by Jose Luis Sanchez Ibarra, 42 of Grranbury that was traveling south on FM 51. The Dodge then traveled into the west barrow ditch and came to rest. The Honda stopped in the south bound lane of FM 51. The driver of the Honda and a passenger in the Dodge truck, Angelene Nicole Shelton, a 31 year old female, were transported to Lake Granbury Medical Center for treatment of their injuries. No citations have been issued at this time. No other information is available.
