Sheriff Roger Deeds Letter to Citizens of
Hood County

I would like to respond to the Hood County
News article titled “DA: Ethics complaints
against Sheriff sent to AG Office” in the
February 8th, 2020 issue.
On Saturday, February 8, 2020, an article
was published in the Hood County News in
which it was reported that a local attorney
and several others who refused to be
named accused me of ethics violations
which they claim violated the law. While I
have not received a copy of any complaints
that were said to have been filed against me, any allegations that I broke the law are
completely false. I believe that any such
allegations are nothing more than an effort
to assist my opponents in the upcoming
primary election. I am alarmed and
saddened that my political opponents
appear to be using the legal process for
transparently political purposes. The
citizens of Hood County deserve better, and
they can rest assured that I will fight to
clear my good name.
I am proud to serve the citizens of Hood
County as their elected sheriff and I pray
that the citizens of Hood County will elect
me to do so for another term. I also ask
that the citizens of Hood County pray for my employees and me while we are
undergoing these adversities.

God bless Hood County and God Bless
America.
Respectfully, Sheriff Roger Deeds
