OctolarFest scheduled in Tolar on Saturday, Oct. 25
The Feed Lot in Tolar, Texas, announced OctolarFest will take place on Saturday, Oct. 25. Organizers listed vendor shopping, live music, a pinto bean cook-off, a Bloody Mary contest, a bounce house for children, pumpkin carving, photo opportunities, food trucks, cornhole and additional activities.
Organizers said vendor shopping opens at 10:00 a.m. and listed several on-site food vendors including the Tolar Taco truck, KA-ON Grill and Kona Ice. A schedule posted by the organizer outlines events throughout the day.
At 12:00 p.m., the event will hold a pumpkin carving contest for younger participants, with parents encouraged to assist. At 2:00 p.m., performer Trent Gray is scheduled to take the stage.
At 4:00 p.m., Billy Smith and Alan Parsons are scheduled to perform. The post indicated the Bloody Mary contest and the pinto bean cook-off will begin tasting at that time. Winners for contests are scheduled to be announced at 5:45 p.m.
Following the contest announcements, Aaron Worthan is listed to perform at 6:00 p.m., and Bo Phillips is scheduled to take the stage at 8:00 p.m.
The event is described as free. Attendees were told they may bring their own beverages (BYOB) or drop a donation at the Bloody Mary Bar in exchange for a cold beverage. Organizers suggested bringing a lawn chair and staying all day.
The Feed Lot noted the event will proceed rain or shine and said it would monitor the forecast and post updates the morning of the event if a delayed start time becomes necessary. The post encouraged attendees to invite friends and family and to attend at The Feed Lot on Saturday.
