Hood County Sheriff’s Department Warns of Scam!

Scam Alert!!!!!!

On 1-1-19 several citizens received calls
from a scammer stating he was Lt. Johnny
Rose of the Hood County Sheriff’s Office.
The scammer requested money and made
threats to put the victim in jail.
Please disregard any calls or messages of
this type. It is a SCAM!
If you have a warrant, we will never call you
and tell you about it. We will just show up
and arrest you.
Never give any money to someone that calls
you making threats of arrest. When in doubt, please call the Hood County Sheriff’s Office to confirm any questions you may have.
The scams change though time, but they all
want money and that is what we call a CLUE.
Please do not fall victim to any scammers
that contact you.
