Hood County Jail passes Inspection
On April 28th, 2021, The Texas Commission on Jail Standards arrived at the Hood County Jail to complete the Annual Jail Inspection. We are honored to say that for the 13th year in a row under the watch of the Hood County Sheriff Roger Deeds we have passed Inspection!
“It is always a team effort and I have a great team! I am very proud of my entire Jail staff especially including Jail Administrator Captain Turbeville, Lieutenant Rogers and Lieutenant Shelly with their leadership to keep the jail ready for inspection every day, and thanks to the Hood County Maintenance Department for staying on top of the mechanical end of things to keep operational!” – Sheriff Roger Deeds.
” Every day we strive to ensure compliance with the State. This was a joint effort by all. From our Detention Officers, the Medical Department, Maintenance Department and Clerical staff. If it wasn’t for this great team we have established, then we wouldn’t have passed this Inspection or any in the past. I am extremely prideful for the courage, hard work and dedication that’s present within our staff. We as a team will continue pushing forward to ensure the safety and security of those incarcerated and continue to stay in compliance with The Texas Commission on Jail Standards. Thank you to all the staff. Without you, this wouldn’t be possible.” – Jail Administrator Captain Turbeville.
