Mar. 26, 1875,
The Hood County Court House was destroyed by a fire. Most of the county records were lost.

Mar. 27, 1875,
Sheriff Wright participated in the legal hanging of Nelson “Cooney” Mitchell.

Mar. 28, 1851,
John Burton Barnard was the first white child born in Hood County.

Mar. 29, 1923,
The “Big Tent Theater” traveled by railroad to Granbury and had comedy shows, dramas, and other acts. On this day, it advertised a new tent.

Mar. 30, 1866,
The first election was held to choose a site for the county seat. The site was located west of Comanche Peak.

Mar. 31, 1909,
The Mambrino baseball team played the last game of the season – On top of Comanche Peak.

Apr. 1, 1891,
Building of the original Hood County County Court House was completed by April 1, 1891.
