Intoxicated driver call lands man in jail

On 3-31-18 around 10pm, Hood County
Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to the
3000 block of Saunter Lane ref. a possible
intoxicated driver sitting on the side of the
road.
Deputies located Tyler Ray Johnson (20
yoa), who was intoxicated and became very
belligerent with Deputies.
Johnson was very uncooperative and
resisted arrest during the incident.
Johnson also spat on a Deputy twice during
his arrest.

Johnson is charged with DUI under 21 (class
C misd-fine $500), Resisting Arrest (class A
misd-bond $2,500), and Assault on a Peace
Officer (felony 3-bond $15,000).
“It’s a crying shame this young adult turned
a class C ticket into a serious felony.”
