CRESSON’S 377 BYPASS CONSTRUCTION TO CAUSE
MORE DELAYS, CLOSURES TONIGHT THRU SATURDAY

Granbury, Texas – The ongoing construction of the U.S. Highway 377 bypass in Cresson will generate more traffic headaches for drivers using 377 and State Highway 171, starting tonight and running through Saturday.
Construction activity involves work on the steel beams over SH 171 and the railroad yards, so roadway closures are needed for safety concerns. SH 171 will have roadway closures just east of Slocum Ranch Road (west of US 377). Traffic will be detoured from SH 171 to US 377
southbound and travel to FM 167 northbound and to FM 3450 eastbound to SH 171 (reverse for the opposite direction).
The attached map details the planned schedule for the closure and detours. Here are the times and types of delays drivers can expect:
• Aug. 12 to 14, 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. (Nightly closure, Wednesday night to Saturday morning, road to be open during each daytime)
The detour routes are signed along the roadway for drivers during the closures and changeable message boards will relay additional closure information. This planned closure is
subject to schedule changes and weather disruptions. You can also find this information at the
project website located on FACEBOOK by searching “us377mobility.”
