CITY POOL MOVING TO WEEKEND ONLY OPERATIONS

Granbury, Texas – Due to staffing shortages and Covid-19 related compliance issues, the City of Granbury’s Parks and Recreation Department has been forced to move to weekend only operations for the Dana Vollmer Municipal Swim Complex (City Pool). Starting today, the pool will be closed Monday thru Thursday, and only be open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

The hours of operations on those days will remain the same; 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 1-6 p.m. on Sundays. Pool Manager, Christy Allen, has said that these date changes may only be temporary, but are unavoidable at this time.

“If we can get some more guards and other staff hired, we may be able to get back to our original six-days-a-week schedule. But that is still to be during this unprecedented pandemic,” she said.

The City of Granbury will immediately notify the public when changes occur. For more information please contact Granbury Public Information Officer Alex Southern at 817-573-6764 or at asouthern@granbury.org.
