Beware of Scammers

Some citizens of Hood County have been
receiving multiple calls from scammers
stating they are with the US Government
Social Security Office. The scammer will
make threats of having you arrested and
placed in prison on a debt that is owed.
Please ignore the calls and do not give them
any identifying information or send them
any money.
Quote from Sheriff Roger Deeds:
“These scammers are about low as a person
can get and victimize the elderly. Do not fall
for their tricks and hang up on them”.
