BACK TO SCHOOL EQUALS END OF SEASON FOR CITY
POOL
Granbury, Texas – With the happiness of back to school for the Granbury Independent School
District this week, comes the sadness of the annual closing of the Granbury City Pool (aka – the
Dana Vollmer Municipal Swim Center).
“Most of our staff has left for college and the couple remaining have started athletic
practices for high school,” said Granbury Parks and Recreation Director Aaron McLain.
“Unfortunately, with our staff being made up of mostly students, the start of school dictates
when our season ends.”
The pool is scheduled to reopen in the late Spring or early Summer of 2021.
