Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant began construction. It first went online in 1990.

Mar. 13, 1895,
Doctors J.R. Lancaster and J.S. Turner warned that smallpox was north of town.

Mar. 14, 1866,
The first elected County Clerk, Alexander S. McCamant could not serve because he was an ex-confederate.

Mar. 15, 1860,
Paluxy River Mill was built by Will Gotcher. It was in operation until 1907.

Mar. 16, 1909,
Sheriff John Swofford shot and killed a woman and himself in Fort Worth.

Mar. 17, 1907,
Bill Mitchell was incarcerated in the Hood County Jail for complicity in a murder committed in 1874.

Mar. 18, 1877,
Two horse thieves were killed by a party of seven men near Acton.
