Mar. 5, 1850,
Postal route motto read “Celerity, Certainty, and Security.” Routes were called “Star Routes.”

Mar. 6, 1847,
Charles and Juana Bernard had 14 children; 2 girls and 12 boys. Only 6 of them lived to adulthood.

Mar. 7, 1868,
The first Hood County Judge was Abel Landers. He overruled 3 popular elections in order to make Granbury the county seat.

Mar. 8, 1882,
The election results for Prohibition were as follows:
For Prohibition: 484
Against Prohibition: 343
Total Votes: 827

Mar. 9, 1905,
Hall’s Hypnotic Show was at the Opera house and starred a woman hypnotist.

Mar. 10, 1866,
The elected Sheriff A. J. Wright could not serve because he was an ex-confederate.

Mar. 11, 1900,
Tolar had 3 cotton gins, a meat market, 2 restaurants, and 2 banks.
