GRANBURY, TX – Subsequent to discussions with the Hood County Judge, Granbury Mayor and the Hood County Public Health Authority, the Granbury Chamber has made the difficult decision to cancel the 4^th of July Parade and Festival portions of the Old Fashioned July 4^th event.  The Granbury 4^th of July Fireworks Spectacular will proceed as planned on Saturday, July 4^th over the lake.
 
“The decision to cancel this year’s 4^th of July Parade and Festival on the Square, was not made lightly.  Our Hood County Public Health Authority and City of Granbury Medical Advisor, Dr. David Blocker has provided County and City guidance throughout COVID-19 pandemic management, that both the County Judge and Mayor have followed, to maximize the safety of our residents.  We share in everyone’s disappointment, that this 4^th of July Celebration will not include the parade and festival.  We feel the responsible decision continues to be one in alignment with our top County and City Health Authority’s recommendation,” says Mike Scott, President and CEO of the Granbury Chamber.
 
A fantastic fireworks display will light up the skies on July 4^th.  Starting around 9:30PM, Extreme Pyrotechnics will once again display their amazing show that may be seen in a large portion of the County.  The Granbury Chamber of Commerce thanks the following fireworks sponsors:  H-E-B, Visit Granbury, City of Granbury, Hood County, Cheerful Heart Gifts & Boutique, Vintage Floors and Streeter Electric.
