Hood County Conducts Nuclear Power Plant Drill

On 11-6-19 the Hood County Sheriff’s
Office, City of Granbury, Granbury
Independent School District, Lake Granbury
Medical Center, and other important
partners conducted a Comanche Peak
Nuclear Power Plant Drill at the Hood
County Emergency Operations Center in
Granbury.
The drill is to test the preparedness of the
county if a disaster should strike at the
Nuclear Plant.

Quote from Sheriff Roger Deeds:
“It takes a lot of important partners from
the county to work together to protect the
good people of Hood County.
First responders to elected officials work
together conducting a mock drill. As Interim
Fire Marshal, I feel things went well today
and I’m happy with the effort and results of
all the hard work that occurred.
We are expected to pass the graded drill
that is observed by FEMA, who will let us
know later how we did.”
