Accident Sends One to Fort Worth Hospital

Granbury- Preliminary reports shows that at approximately 3:47 pm. on Thursday January 10, 2019 the Texas Highway Patrol was notified of a two vehicle crash on State Highway 144 at Bluebonnet drive south of Granbury in Hood County. Upon arrival the Trooper found that a 2003 Kia Sol driven by Sheila Byland, 65 of Granbury, was traveling west on Bluebonnet Dr. and attempted to cross  SH 144 to turn back to the south. A 2006 Porsche driven by David Hubbard, 65 of Granbury was traveling north on SH 144 approaching Bluebonnet Dr.  Byland did not see the Porsche and pulled across SH 144 and was struck on the left side of her vehicle by the Porsche. Byland was transported to John Peter Smith Hospital in Ft. Worth by Air Ambulance for observation and treatment for neck injuries. Mr. Hubbard was treated at the scene and released. Byland was cited for Fail to yield right of way-stop sign.
