Scam Alert!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Hood County Sheriff’s Office is receiving reports of people receiving calls from scammers demanding money.
The scammer threatens the victim with
turning off their electricity.
The scammer will ask you go get a green
dot card or a gift card of some type and
then request the card numbers as payment.
This is going to be a scam and do not
comply with the scammers request.
When in doubt call the electric company to
confirm any owned balance.
