Traffic Stop Leads to Sex Offender Being Arrested

On 3-7-19 around 1230 hrs, Hood County
Sheriff’s Office Deputies conducted a traffic
stop at the 2600 block of South Oak Trail Dr.
During the stop, Zachary Taylor Scott (20
yoa) was found to be in possession of under
2oz of marijuana.
Deputies also discovered Scott had not
complied with his sex offender registration
responsibilities and failed to check in with
the Hood County Sheriff’s Office Sex
Offender Deputy.

Scott was arrested and charged with Failed
to Register as a Sex Offender (state jail
felony-bond $5,000) and Possession of
Marijuana (class B misd-bond $1,000).
Scott is currently out of jail on bond at
press time.
